Upcoming Events and Activities

“First Sunday," March 28

On the “First Sunday” of each month, there is an open house at Pastor Grisham’s home following the worship service, from 12:45-2:45 pm, to which all are invited to come for food and fellowship. This is an opportunity for visitors and new attendees to meet people and to enjoy good fellowship time in a relaxed atmosphere. Welcome!

(Note that the First Sunday that had been scheduled for this Sunday, March 7, has been postponed on account of the Officers Training Class scheduled for the same date. The next First Sunday will actually be the last week in March, Palm Sunday, March 28, when we will have a special Easter Egg-Scripture verse hunt!)

Missions Sunday 2010, March 21

For several years now we have supported Bill Campbell’s ministry in Philadelphia; he is now preparing to move his family to France for a new ministry there. On Saturday, March 21, he will preach here at Faith. Please stay for a while following the service to hear from Bill about his ministry. Lunch will be provided!

Officers Training Class to Begin

The Officers Training class meets next Sunday, March 14, from 12:30-2:30 pm, at the home of Pastor Grisham. This is a five-week course; it is required for all who would serve this church as elder or deacon, but is open to any who might be interested in learning more about what our church believes and how it functions.

Tuesday Night Gathering

The Yardley Bible Study Fellowship meets this Tuesday, March 9, 7:30 pm, at the home of Vince and Mary Cacciatore. Join us for a devotional study of the Epistle to the Hebrews.

Thursday Night Gatherings

FIRST THURSDAYS: “The Thinklings,” a Christian book discussion fellowship, meets on the FIRST Thursday of each month, 7:30-9:00 pm, at the home of Walt and Judy Samsoe. We’re continuing our discussion of Athanasius’ classic book, On the Incarnation. Discussion begins at 7:30, but come at 7:15 for a time of fellowship with snacks and refreshments. Next meeting: Thursday, April 1.

SECOND AND FOURTH THURSDAYS: The Newtown Bible Study (“the Fellowship of the Mystery”) meets on the SECOND and FOURTH Thursdays of each month, 7:15-9:00 pm, at the home of Pastor Grisham. We are continuing our long-term examination of “The Life and Letters of Paul,” and are working through a study of 1 Corinthians. Discussion begins at 7:15, but come at 7:00 for a time of fellowship with snacks and refreshments. Next meeting: this Thursday, March 11.

THIRD THURSDAYS: The Women’s Fellowship Group meets on the THIRD Thursday of each month, 7:00-8:30 pm, at the Wittekinds’ home. We are reading and discussing Max Lucado’s book, Facing Your Giants. This is intended as an evangelistic Bible study, so consider inviting spiritually-seeking friends and neighbors! Next meeting: Thursday, March 18.

FIFTH THURSDAYS: On those months when there is a fifth Thursday, there will be a special event (e.g., prayer and praise meetings, or special lectures, or musical performances, etc.). Stay tuned!

"The Zone" -- Junior High
Fridays and Third Sundays

All 6th-9th grade kids are invited to "The Zone," Faith's Youth program that meets at the Reisers every Friday evening, 7:00-9:00 pm. On the "Third Sunday" of each month, there is a special outing. For more information, contact Pastor Grisham or Joseph Bibb, Director of Children’s and Youth Ministry.

Women’s Ministry Events and Activities

Women of Faith! The Women’s Fellowship Group meets on the THIRD Thursday of each month, 7:00-8:30 pm, at the Wittekinds’ home. We are reading and discussing Max Lucado’s book, Facing Your Giants.
